This is a group effort to lose some inches, tone-up soft areas and get healthier! The technique works well to slim problem areas and increase flexibility, and the bonus is beautiful posture, which makes everything else automatically look better!

what to do

    1. Take a “before” picture or have us take it for you.  For the photo, wear jeans and a sports bra or camisole (preferably not in black), or in fitness clothes.  A front view and a side view. Make sure you see your love handles; it will make you appreciate your “after” pictures even more!!

    2. Measure your thighs, waist, hips, and arms (don’t lose the measurements)

    3. Take note of the areas of your body that you find particularly “soft” and note your posture.

  1. Join as many classes as possible!

  2. If you don’t make it to class, do your 30-minute DVD workout (provided)

Many of you have asked about diet.  If you want to see a faster and more dramatic transformation, then changing your diet will certainly help!!  Remember it’s only for 4 weeks.  We are not dieticians and don’t claim to have the answers, however I will share with you mine and other peoples advice. I don’t believe in drastic diets that can’t be sustained.  What I like to recommend are small changes that, combined with exercise, will give you lasting results. 

    1. Most important; try to stick to unprocessed foods. I would say 80% of my diet is “real”.  The body processes it better and can therefore burn it more efficiently.

    2. Reduce the pastas and breads, but don’t feel that you have to eliminate them completely.  Reduce your portions and have more fruits, veggies, or lean protein (fish, organic chicken or meat). 

    3. Dairy: Very high in fat so if you’re a cheese-lover this is something you’ll have to reduce.  Also, dairy tends to create a kind-of permanent bloat and if you eliminate it you’ll see your stomach flatten. 

    4. Gluten is something I’ve also discovered can bloat and irritate your stomach (everything associated to wheat).  There are gluten-free breads, cakes cookies and pastas available in most grocery stores.  If you have any questions ask me about it – I’ve eliminated 75% of gluten from my diet since last June and feel so much better.

    5. Sugary coffee’s and drinks:  reduce the number of these you have per week (all of us at the office became addicted to caramel macchiato’s and gained weight from them last year – now its only once a month).

    6. Sugar in your tea and coffee.  I love sugar in my tea but I have about 5 cups a day! So I have 2 cups of tea with sugar, and 3 without.

After you’ve been doing your DVDs and diet for 4 weeks, we re-measure and take pics! You’ll be more-toned and slender in all your problem areas!
